Welcome to New Hampshire Garden Solutions
What is a garden coach?
Think of a garden coach as you would a little league coach, or any other type of coach. A person with knowledge, skill and experience helping someone less knowledgeable and with less experience gain confidence and become a more accomplished gardener. An advisor, teacher, mentor, consultant, hand holder, helper; all are accurate descriptions.
How may I help you?
A gardener usually has a vision of what their yard could be but many times is unsure of how to bring that vision to life. A garden coach can help both you and your garden realize the full potential of that which is usually already there, lying just below the surface. As I see it, my job as a garden coach is to help you realize your dream garden, not to turn your property into my idea of a dream garden.
Where to begin?
Because an hour passes so quickly, one thing I'll do before we meet is ask you to fill out a short questionnaire with questions like “What would you like to see your property looking like a year from now?” and “What is your a favorite plant?” We might also spend a few minutes on the phone. When I arrive we may take a quick walk through your gardens with a note pad and camera to flesh out what you’ve mentioned on the questionnaire, and from then on we'll start making your dream garden a reality.
Please take a moment to also visit the services page for more information, and to see how I might help.
Thank you for visiting the New Hampshire Garden Solutions web site. I’m looking forward to working with you.

As a professional gardener I found that the people who hired me were often just as interested in my answering their gardening questions as they were having me do the work they hired me to do. Previous clients and others have urged me to become a garden coach because they feel that having someone willing to answer their questions quickly and accurately is very important.
One client wrote: “To me the most valuable services are your immediate and thoughtful answers to real-life-today questions. I want to know about manure when I think of it driving past the stable. I want suggestions for planting when I get interested in January but before I have to buy the plants in May."
